It isn’t fun to have to write out policies nor is it to enforce them, but they are necessary in order to encourage accountability and set expectations.
No one should join this community desiring to simply preside over others.
We are all equally responsible for maintaining a fun, safe, and accepting community. Community members are encouraged to mentor and respectfully remind each other of the policies and procedures set forth. If that is not appropriate or possible, use the /report command in game or reach out to the staff in Discord.
Someone in the end has to make the difficult decisions in the interest of the group and that task will fall upon the staff when the need arises.
General Community
- Our community and game servers are for individuals 18 years or older. If you are not of this age, please do not apply or participate. By applying you are stating you meet this age requirement.
- You must own a legal copy of any software we use.
- Be courteous to others. Think of others before yourself in this sense.
- Do not harass, grief, or bully another person or their character(s) inside the game server or community.
- Do not share any content that is illegal, containing personal information, hateful, copyrighted, sexual in nature, or derogatory.
- No racism, no sexism, no hate speech or text, no sharing of personal info. Roleplaying is not a valid excuse for these types of behavior.
- Keep real world politics and drama out of discord and the game server.
- Understand that this is a mature rated game and community and adult situations and conversations will occur.
- Do not self promote or advertise anything without first obtaining prior authorization of an administrator. This includes but is not limited to other Discord servers, channels, social media, other communities, products, and services.
- No erotic role play (ERP). This is replicating any sexual acts.
- Access to ROMPUS.net and any services related to and including the game server and VoIP are granted and denied at the sole discretion of the staff. Access may be revoked without reason or appeal. There is no guarantee of access or continued access.
- Members of this community are expected to conduct themselves appropriately and responsibly both in the game server, community, and outside. They represent this community and are expected to show others the respect and civility we allow each other. Derogatory or slandering speech or behavior outside of the community can lead to repercussions within – permanent ban thereof not excluded. You are expected to follow another community’s or service’s terms of service or similar policies, this includes other roleplaying communities, Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
